Hair Braider license for military personal/veterans who have completed the 16 hour hair Braiding course. One of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation primary focus is helping people get to work. This includes military on active duty who hold professional licenses, military spouses and veterans of our armed services. DBPR has several programs in place to assist these individuals with the licensing process on line. Whether a spouse needs help applying for a state license after being transferred to a Florida duty station, an active duty member wants to keep his or her license current during a deployment, or a veteran is trying to obtain a license with experience earned during his or her service to our country. Military Personnel, Veterans & Military Spouses Licensing Fee Waiver Program
Under House Bill 615, which went into effect July 1, 2017, the Department now has the ability to waive the initial licensing fee for any individual that is currently serving, or has formerly served, as an active duty member of the Armed Forces of the United States, or a spouse or surviving spouse of such member that was married to the member during a period of active duty who applies to the Department for a state professional license.
